Finding beauty in everything.

Hi there! My name is Maddi Barclay and I’m a photographer near Denver, Colorado.

My love of photography was introduced to me when I got my first Canon camera as a Christmas gift when I was 15 years old. However, I was mostly taking pictures of my dogs back then. But eventually I found an obsession in taking pictures of any scenery that I was surrounded by. It wouldn’t matter if it was a pretty leaf that had fallen onto a trail I was walking on, beautiful colors of a sunset, or a white, pillowy cloud that created a cool formation in the sky — I needed to stop and take a picture of it.

Funny enough, it wasn’t until quarantine 2020 that I really started taking my obsession seriously. I upgraded my camera (that I had for eight years - a much needed upgrade!), bought a tripod, memory cards, and basically everything under the sun — including multiple lenses that are already not enough for me. From landscapes to wildlife, I have branched into so many different things to photograph that the old me would never even attempt; I took one photography class in high school and nothing else, so I had doubts and didn’t think I’d be good enough. Of course I’m still learning, but I’ve enjoyed every step of the way.

Check out my portfolio that includes my favorite photographs throughout the last couple years and a look into the beauty that I’ve managed to capture. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
